Obituary.

Film producer Anders Mastrup has died after a long illness. He was 67 years old.

Anders has been active in radio, TV and film all his life, and was, among other things, responsible for the completion of the animated feature film “Valhalla.” In 1986, he founded the animation company A. Film, together with 4 friends from the Valhalla era. Anders has since been a highly respected producer with a focus on animation and has been behind the production of a long list of films and TV series, including Help, I’m a Fish, Asterix and the Vikings, Jungle Jack, Pettson and Findus, Terkel in Trouble, Journey to Saturn, Hokus Pokus Alfi Atkins, Up and Away, Checkered Ninja and many many others. In addition, he was nominated for an Oscar for the short film, “When Life Departs.”

Anders was committed to the work of developing the animation industry, both in Denmark and abroad, and had industry friends all over the world.

He was recognized for his vast knowledge and experience, which he generously shared with colleagues in the animation industry. Without the slightest regard for whether they were competitors.

Deeply serious, honest and sincere in his professional and private life. A fantastic friend and colleague.

Kind regards

Karsten Kiilerich and the entire team from A. Film Produktion
